Introducing Acrylic Colour

Ive decided to introduce colour to my line drawings, to give them abit more atmosphere. ive used acrylic for these three, experimenting with how much colour, what moods the colour give's off, if they change the way you look at the drawings and finally to see if they effect the later compositions.

Line Drawings

i had my first grading tutorial this week at uni, and there were some possitive feedback. i havnt been sketching much latly but i was encouraged to continue with it as my tutor described them as 'quirky' and they were a focal point of my work 'like a sore thumb in the room'. so ive decided to start them up again and im aiming 100 before my next grading in january.

Life

so we have to write our own brief for our first year long project and i have decided my brief is going to be this poem.......

Life is a jigsaw puzzle
It's not always fun and games
Life is what you make of it
And nothing ever remains the same

Life can test your courage
It can test your inner strength to endure
It can test your mental psyche
Life is a challenge for sure

Life is an exciting adventure
It can be a bumpy and rocky ride
But life is what you make of it
You don't need a "how to" guide

Life has many dimensions
Too enormous to even count
But life should always have a purpose
Void of any amount

Life can be enlightening
Indeed it can be challenging, too
It can be a roaring opportunity
But that depends on you

But never throw in the towel
Because things don't go your way
Just ride the tides of patience
And keep focused on your dreams each and every day
